Flooring Contractors in Seattle, WA

Pacific Modular doesn’t just install, maintain, rejuvenate, refresh, retile, grout, sanitize, repair, and refurbish Seattle’s floors. We also guarantee satisfaction.

Three Reasons To Hire a Professional Flooring Contractor

  • Make sure the job is done right. Flooring is a complicated, detail-oriented job, and commercial flooring companies have the tools, experience, and expertise to do it properly. This isn’t just good for your flooring, it’s good for your peace of mind.
  • Protect your investment. You know what’s more expensive than hiring flooring contractors once to install a floor? Hiring them over and over again to repair one. Getting a floor professionally installed is an up-front expense, sure… but it pays for itself fairly quickly as insurance against unwanted (and expensive) surprises for decades to come.
  • Convenience. We love doing it, but trust us: installing floors is hard, time-consuming work. So is managing a crew of laborers to do it for you. The very best— and least annoying— way to get your floor installed is to have a professional flooring contractor handle it. We can recommend one nearby.

Flooring FAQs

How much do flooring contractors charge?

There are a lot of flooring contractors in Seattle, and they all charge different rates. At Pacific Modular, we quote each project on an individual basis; we come out to your location, get our eyes and our hand on your site, and work with you to order the right materials for your space. Everything will be custom and specific for your needs and preferences, so there’s no one-size-fits-all quote the way there might be with a more assembly-line “quick-and-dirty” flooring operation. We’re happy to provide specific quotes whenever you need, though.

How much does it cost to install 1000 square feet of hardwood flooring?

Depends on your space, the wood, and what you want exactly done with it. Do you just want a basic floor installed? How much finishing and staining? What’s the climate like in your location, and what do we need to do to make sure it doesn’t hurt your floor? Contact us now to request a quote.

How much does it cost to install 1000 square feet of laminate flooring?

There are a lot of different sorts of laminate flooring, so it depends what sort you’re looking for, how you want it sealed and installed, what the nuances of your space are, etc. But of course, once we know all that we’d be happy to give you a quote.

How much does it cost to install 1500 square feet of laminate flooring?

Probably about fifty percent more than the quote we gave when you clicked the link in the last question. You did click to get a quote, right?

What is the best flooring for the money?

Not to sound like a broken record, but once again: it depends. In some cases, it might be carpet. In some climates or industries, it could be concrete. But as a “generally applies for hard surfaces” answer? Luxury vinyl tile, or LVT, is often the best bang for your buck. It’s both durable and relatively low-maintenance, while still being a pretty good looking material, without being prohibitively expensive, either.

What is the cheapest way to do flooring?

Doing it yourself. We strongly recommend against doing commercial level flooring without a commercial flooring company, though, even if it isn’t us. There’s a lot that can go wrong installing a floor without the right expertise, and in commercial settings where you’re dealing with thousands and thousands of feet of flooring, the financial consequences of even minor errors can be really catastrophic. There can also be some serious health risks, both during the installation and afterwards. We strongly encourage using a flooring contractor; it’s not the cheapest option up front, but it will almost certainly save you money in the long run by removing the risks and consequences of a job done badly.

Is it cheaper to carpet or laminate a floor?

The labor associated with putting down laminate flooring tends to be more extensive than with carpet, but the total cost will still usually come down primarily to the materials involved. Even with the more expensive labor during the installation process, cheap laminate will generally be a bit cheaper overall than expensive carpet.

What is better vinyl or laminate flooring?

We usually recommend laminate over vinyl because it doesn’t require waxing. Vinyl is a really good looking material, but it’s extremely high maintenance, which is a deal-breaker for most people, particularly in commercial settings where the priority is usually on having a functional workspace, not an untouchable showroom. Vinyl tile needs to be constantly waxed, and you can’t really walk on it normally, or at least you can’t expect it to hold up gracefully to the kind of foot traffic you expect in most workplaces… at least not without a lot of extra maintenance.

How long does it take to install 1000 sq ft of laminate flooring?

This is another question that will vary based on the specifics of the job. On average, you could probably expect roughly two days of work with a four person crew of professional flooring contractors. A larger crew could do it faster, while doing it yourself would likely take considerably longer.
